They set fire to the road outside Socopa the pig slaughter house in Chateauneuf du Faou a few days ago. Rather stupid because it is next to a supermarket, a CT station usually full of cars with fuel on board and various other enterprises. Basically, as I understand it, they are being dragged into the real world and do not like it.

Today I learnt to DRIVE OVER ROUNDABOUTS INSTEAD OF AROUND THEM, DRIVE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR LONG PERIODS WHILST DODGING ONCOMING TRAFFIC, DRIVE THE WRONG WAY AROUND ROUNDABOUTS AND MAKE A 2.5 HOUR JOURNEY LAST 5.5 HOURS. Thank you French farmers for the experience!!!!!!!

I was driving back home from Villedieu last night and saw the queues in the dual carriageway at St Malo, thought great the farmers are doing that town not my way! WRONG! Got to Jugon les Lacs and hit the end of a queue, luckily the flics were sending everyone off on my junction so I had a relatively short wait. Total chaos after the junction though as there were quite a few foreign artic lorries parked up trying to read maps to decide which way they should go!!
Luckily today I am office bound so won't need to go out. I just love the attitude of the french farmers, irrespective of whether their grievance is just or not they certainly get the attention of the Government. If the same were to happen in the UK the government would open up a camp and intern the lot!!!
