How long should the photo competition last 1 week ,2weeks or more? Perhaps the judge wibble has a view.
I ask because sometimes 2weeks is to long.

Although I rarely enter, I do look at the thread and I think it depends on the subject....If you look at the current entries, they have been submitted over 8 different days. Two weeks gives people a chance to look back through their 'back catalogue' for shots pertaining to the chosen subject or if they don't have one, perhaps get out somewhere to photograph something suitable.

What sonnetpete said :-) it really does depend on time of year and subject matter - not everyone has the opportunity in just one week, as we may be busy at work or jobs to do whereas the two week time provides more opportunity to capture that moment suitable for the chosen theme :-)
When I came up with the "competition" I did give thought to time period and considered 10 to 14 days a suitable time scale so chose two weeks and it does seem to pull in a lot of views -
So come on folks get snapping remember it's down to you and your own imagination as to how you interpret the chosen theme - let your imagination run wild :-) and get snapping - you can use any means of taking a photo that you have, there's no need for mega expensive DSLR's when a simple camera phone captures that special moment, the only bad camera is a forgotten one in a cupboard gathering dust.

IMHO two weeks is about right - recently it went over which i admit was too long , but overall I think a fortnight is ok.
