Each trip out lately I have seen the gendarmes with their speed cameras - they appear to be everywhere at the moment.
Is there some sort of target acheievment going on? Does the force financial year end 1st April?
Even spotted hiding off a tiny side road on a very quie main road yesterday, twice on trip back from Dinan today, and also on A84 when went to Vire week before last.
I am terrible at not concentrating on my speed, prefer to look where am going! I'm no way a mega breaker of limits and very consciencious (spl?) through towns/villages/hamlets etc but have been the recipient of a nice letter and paid a fine I think about 4 times in the past few years. Scary stuff !
Watch out!

They recently announced on French tv that there will be a lot more cameras with no signs warning you about them!

I thought it was a legal requirement in EU not just U.K that suitable warning notices are displayed notifying drivers of cameras in the area ahead after all they are Safety Cameras and not Speed Cameras (yeh right) Ali you need glasses if you miss the French signs ;D

Worse still they are going tointroduce the dreaded "average speed" cameras too
