Second and third that!--I worked out of Skelhorne St Liverpool as a National Express Driver(-used to be National Travel West in the old days !!!)-but my homebase was Caernarfon N wales. I was always called a Serviceman!- my routes could be Caernarfon- Edinburgh,Caernarfon- London Caernarfon- Cromer etc.i WAS VERY PROUD TO BE THE SERVICEMAN I found no problem with that-it was my service,I was responsible for Coach,Passengers Connections and Luggage,I find it ridiculous now it becomes Serviceperson! whatever,PC has been carried on way too far,and actually in some cases makes no sense-BUT that is my opinion. Oh happy days, I did quite a bit of National Express or Royal Blue as it was then when I first started, mostly on Saturday duplicates in the days when Exmouth-London via Bournemouth return was an overnight trip. Perhaps I was fortunate-but I think The Liverpool Express drivers basically thought if I could do the job-same as them then I had earned my place!. I still believe that there are many people who just go looking for problems, provided you earn respect -you gain far more out of life.
