The past 6 weeks it has been a catalogue of errors Beginning of November, the lawn tractor packed up - no longer under guarantee. For MOH this is a disaster of catastrophic proportions. Followed one week later by the electric mower – still under guarantee but they don’t have one the same – so had to pay an extra €25 difference for one not as good. Mid/end of November – car #1 won’t start – 3 tows to the garage and €800 to get it going (I hope) Beginning of December – Gite fridge packs up – no longer under guarantee Car #2 – pulley squealing – another €270 Last week washing machine not spinning no longer under guarantee Also – computer playing up – mouse has a mind of its own and now will no longer charge the battery as it is telling me I am using the wrong charger even though it is the one that came with the laptop and has worked for a year – guarantee has run out. yesterday – sky box gives up the ghost today – vacuum cleaner won’t go – This is still under guarantee but I can’t find it. Doh! Family coming tomorrow for xmas – just hoping the oven keeps going.

We used to have a gas heater for our hot water and the level of the gas in the bottle was always a concern to Debbie my late wife. I lost count of the number of times I knew the gas had ran out by the high pitched wail that came from the shower room as Debbie had been caught out with freezing water mid hair condition.

It is awful when a lot of things all pack up one after another. I know the feeling and I am getting worried because all my white goods are the same age and not getting any younger. My old car is due it's CT in six months and will be 18 years old and has been to the moon and back twice so 2014 could be an expensive year.
