This is frightening but it doesn't surprise me. French beaurcracy is just beyond belief. All these hundreds of thousands of people who are employed by the government and have to try and justify their existance. Read my thread about exchanging my driving licence.

I believe it to be true after speaking with neighbours, well we all came to france for the difference,we have always had strange reactions in bars as we return all empty glasses and bottle, maybe the french are becoming more paranoid about foreigners taking their jobs,so think twice before stopping on the roasd to assist a french woman change a tyre etc.

I came over here and have remained the same way as I was before I arrived .... I'll still take my empties back no matter For me there is no difference being here than being anywhere - I can change a wheel too so would do for anyone that needed help I have never believed in 'vive la difference' coz I've never noticed any and cannot stand the word 'integration' (as anyone that knows me well knows already) - 'there are those that do and those that don't' and in my little world that little ditty stands up wherever. I adore my Frenchie mates, they are amongst the best I have here !!!
