Have a look at this video of Fest Jazz 2013: In 2014 the 10th edition of the festival will be held 25th - 27th July. It's a great day out for music lovers... you don't have to be a jazz fan!

This is the first year that we haven't been for years - we normally go but felt that the ban on bringing ones own alcohol with ones own picnic, coupled with the higher cost than it used to be made it a bit pricey

This year the cost of the tickets was 18€ (in advance) for the Sunday with children under 16 free and reduced prices for students, the unemployed and Brittany Ferries' ticket holders. Elkay's point of view is interesting but 18€ for 12 hours with 18 (good) groups from all over the world is surely reasonable. Much cheaper than Jazz at Vannes and Jazz at Langourla. Last Saturday it was 25€ to see 1 concert by one band at the Espace Glenmor in Carhaix. Wine at the festival bars was 7€ for a (decent) bottle of red and 2€ for a beer. To have 2 000 spectators bringing their own booze is a recipe for disaster. Fest Jazz is still great value for money, in my opinion......

I wouldn't say 18 euros is expensive, but if money is tight it is.We are going to a show(Irish Celtic) in December in Morlaix which is a lot dearer.
