Ours have barely started to fall yet. No, I haven't seen that before, though it happened to my coco de Paimpol beans the only time I ever grew them

I've got two magnificent walnut trees yet barely a handfull of nuts seem to fall. I know why now because yesterday I was mucking out the donkey & pony's hut and heard this weird crunching noise coming from Under the trees. YES. I know now that Barnaby & Bibi eat walnuts, green skin, shells, the lot and they are also partial to hazelnuts. I guess I won't be getting any walmnuts again this year then

Is it right that pigs are not supposed to eat green acorns? If so how do you convince the pigs to only eat the brown ones and leave the othere?

Wilbur is far too busy with all the apples & pears at the moment but we actually don't have any oak trees here to make it an issue for him.
