And I think there is nothing more important than trying to look after and respect our World.The point is the lack of care and respect by others of this planet not the article. I despair.

Sad truth is that most city streets would look like this if local councils didn't spend a fortune on street cleaners. There is a total "don't care" attitude amongst a certain section of society.

From what I can gather the rubbish is sorted and re-cycled where it can be. I guess if the organisers provided skips then a huge amount of re-cycling wouldn't take place so may be this is the best way of disposing of all the generated rubbish. Unopened tins go to charity; as do the tents that are in one piece. People get a day or two of work. Win win.

I think it's awful to see litter left on beaches and strewn about the countryside, but in the case of festivals and party events the organisers no doubt expect rubbish to remain and therefore build the cost into the exorbitant amount people pay for the tickets. When we go to the the theatre there's always drink cups and tickets left on the seats because people know rubbish gets cleared away afterwards It's someone's job. I think the article is being a bit silly.
