What is the name of best flour for above pls,my scones are delicious,with farine gateau,but for savoury ?thanks

Think I prefer shotcrust The flour I use in mine is in the blue or blue and white bag, pattiserie (spl?) flour. Its basically plain flour. Hope that helps

I use the cheapest T55 for all pastry, scones and cakes, adding baking powder as appropriate. It works for me, and I'm regularly complimented on my baking !!!!! BERT I don't like the French levure chimique, so English Bicarb and cream of tartar are on my regular list of Things To Be Brought From England!

I use T 45 Nettos own always works a treat for me.
