The clue is in the title of the article....
It's not supposed to be a photographic likeness is it? There's something feline about the face - British Lioness? - and she retains her regal air.
The hands are a significant piece of the composition, quite deliberate IMO, and are saying something about her role as Head of State, but it's anybody's guess what....
That's art, innit???

I hadn't noticed her (sagging) boobs, CC, so thank you for drawing my attention to them...
We can take from them whatever we like... I'd prefer to see more symbolism in them - those of an old lady who's raised her family and 'suckled the Nation' - than declare that the the artist hasn't got his proportions right....
Just like any old lady, who's raised a family, there's more to it than any man will ever understand. The picture evokes deep respect from me, even though I'm opposed to the Monarchy, as an institution.
She's still the greatest Ambassador we have. I'm accorded more respect abroad than I deserve by my association with her. For me, the picture explains why people from different cultures still hold her in awe...
So you can take whatever you like from it. I'd rather go a bit beyond the dismissive. On the strength of this picture alone, I salute you, Ma'am.
