What the hell is the matter with the BBC. They keep showing the Boston explosions on every news bulletin. What is the point in this? It is sensationalism, It gives the bombers publicity, it shows a serious lack of compassion to the victims and will unsettle all the courageous runners who will be taking part in the London event this weekend.
I used to admire the BBC but recently I am beginning to think they have lost the plot!

Sky news are doing the same - and continually showing the explosion in Texas. We were stuck in from of a screen set to Sky news for a very long two and three quarter hours on the Liverpool to Isle of Man ferry last night

Yes of course it is a big news story and everyone will want to know what progress is being made in the investigation. I just think it is uneccessary to keep showing the actual explosions.
Anyway it seems now that one bomber has been shot dead and the other is in custody so good news.

I agree it is distasteful to keep showing the actual explosions.
I don't blame the TV channels, however, for covering the shoot-outs in minute detail because the Americans themselves have turned it all into a Die Hard type movie.
