Never had a problem with water from the tap, either here or in engerland, but once on a holiday in scotland on the isle of Islay ( known for its peaty whisky) the tap water was brown, perfectly safe to drink though.
for washing most if the adults used the showers... but when the kids were in the bath it did look like they were taking a bath in Whisky.

Yes, here - I think locally here they do things differently cos our Mairie still looks after the water and the water meter reading and the bills etc

There's a thread on AI at the moment about the water quality in France, mostly concerning nitrates etc leeching from the fields into the water which eventually comes from our taps. I know there is an analysis of the water on the bill we receive, which obviously says it's within acceptable perameters. We used to buy bottled, but decided to stop because the World is drowning in plastic waste (IMO). We drink the tap water without any problems, but I suppose they might be a way down the line. What are your views on this?? I Love You BC XX

We get an analysis of the water quality with each bill, always looks fine and after nearly 7 years here ,so far,we are ok on tap water. Buying plastic bottles of water is bad for your bank account and bad for the environment.

Since this thread, and another on here, I've started to use tap water with lemon flavour in, ok, I admit - its not bad
