I think it is absolutely brilliant! But is this really any different to having a heart/lung/kidney or whatever transplant? I mean in terms of 'carrying part of someone else on your body'....... ?

I agree with Ali, it must be troubling to come to terms with, the more so for being able to see it. It can't feel right, however much we can admire the skill involved..

I've with transplant patients, more often it's their partners who have trouble coming to terms with the "spare part"

With hands and such it seems to be the "join" which is unsettling! The colours never seem to match exactly,maybe , one day,there will be a way around this?

Corneal transplants been around for years - you can see them and no -one seems to worry about it
