Hi. I am looking for a good second hand digital camera. Ideally I Would like a Panasonic Dmc G2 as it gets an excellent write up for landscapes and this is what I primarily want it for. However I would be prepared consider a different one ifit was also good

Its not so much the camera itself that is good for landscapes - it very much depends on what lens you have fitted and obviously your position when taking a shot :-) Many write ups are aimed at their target audience rather than a proper independent test

Thanks Ali - I had a look - my German isn't up to much But I think this is just the camera body and you have to buy the lens on top Husband is now thinking that the second option - the TZ30 is going to be the better of the two - I am a complete novice with these things so would be happy for anyone elses input for all you experts - wibble would be interested to know what lens would you recommend - it must be good for landscapes - especially mountains - thanks

Budget is what will drive lens choice maybe check out whats available in tamron or sigma wide angles ensuring that they will fit your panasonic you may find yourself restricted with your body choice ? Nikon or canon offer better body options that are suitable for future development and can be used by any novice in full auto mode
