Anyone else had a bad reaction to flu jab this year? Had the jab for years and no problem, but felt really achy all over and so tired, plus very hot then freezing.Know 2 people in England who have been the same.Know the jab can't give you flu,but I felt pretty ill.Dr said it could be side effects.

Never had one, and interestingly, we have not had flu or any colds since we moved to France 4 and half years ago (pleeeeeeeeeeeeese don't let me be speaking too soon!!).

Well it is 48hrs since my jab now and no reaction. I have been having the flu vaccine now for about 5 years and never suffered any reaction to it. I do understand that a small number of people do have a side effect usually in the form of a mild form of the virus which is unpleasant but a small price to pay if it saves you from the real thing.
I would advise anyone to have the jab especially as you get older. The full blown flu virus will lay you up for a week or more and can easily lead to other complications such as pneumonia and bronchitis especially in smokers and older people.
