Been offered a Double Din unit with GPS and rear camera for £50, unit removed from car before scrapping. Normal retail £230, I just feel uneasy about the guy. Would you take the risk

OOOOOOOOOOOo one of those. When I go out I use the one thats already built into the car - it yells at me daily I have to say it is blardy brilliant. Was factory fitted. The reversing camera is fantastic, shows you the way you are going versus the way 'you shoud be' and you can really park/manoeuver (spl?) up tight to parked cars and the sensors beep if you get too close too. We had to have it reset when we had towbar fitted. Radio/DVD/SD card/CD etc inputs for entertainment. GPS for getting there with a lovely big screen to show you the way. The software on ours tho is sh**e so I use my TomTom in pref. My phone connects auto via bluetooth and I can press buttons on the thingy to call people I can shout at it too! 50 squids sounds a bit 'in-expensive' though. How scrapped is the car it came out of? To me the big advantage of one of these thingys is really the parking sensors and the rear camera - the rest you probably already have.... If its cosha at 50 squids then I guess the question is can you play 50/50 with 50 suids ?

I've just bought a double din unit for my VW has the reversing camera facility but no camera built in GPS/DVD/MP3 player for £180 I would have given £50 for the same but check to see if you have to imput a code for it to work if you do make sure he has the code, most of the Chinese radios don't seem to have a code.

Just spoke to the guy, no code needed and it has digital TV as well, I will be able to watch Emmerdale whilst driving. Came out of BMW. I will soon be fitting it to my car
