House in the town of Berkovitsa in North West Bulgaria near a ski slope. This region is very beautiful with mountains, forests and lovely walks. This house needs renovation (or possibility to demolish and rebuild) Houses and building plots are rarely marketed within the town, so this is an unusaul opportunity. The neighbour's house has been fully renovated.(Pink in pictures) In a pleasant position on the outskirts of Berkovitsa on the route to the ski slope on Kom mountain. On a plot of 500sq m with fruit and walnut trees and with a mountain river running alongside. There is mains water to the plot (outside house) and mains electricity to the house. Mains sewer runs under the road so easy to connect. It is within walking distance of the town centre with a supermarket, variety of local shops and market. Berkovitsa is about 80km from Sofia-the capital of Bulgaria and the international airport. Photos of the property here plus.google.com/photos/115598833534579892189/albums/5744948022381797185?authkey=CN2M_4GKofDSTwTown website is www.berkovitsa.comThere are plans for more ski-slopes and lifts in Berkovitsa and the town has developed recently with several hotels anticipating more tourists. Houses in the town seldom come on the market so this is a real opportunity to buy one for only 10000 euros. This house belongs to a Bulgarian friend who would help find builders etc if required and is very knowledgeable about regulations etc and speaks excellent English.

It looks absolutely delightful, Sally - but we've done our 'adventuring' by coming here! I am sure someone will be interested though. We know of an English couple who upped sticks from here in Brittany and moved to Bulgaria permanently and they love it there.

This is a real bargain for someone-would make a wonderful holiday home and "council tax" etc is minimal in Bulgaria.
