Rover 75 1.8 auto 2003 53k
Purchased all three belts + water pump.
Four discs with pads and shoes.
Two front coil springs.
Removed the OSF leg without too much trouble but the hub bolt is rusty as hell so am ordering two new bolts, tie rods don’t look good so ordering two new.
I want to derust and paint the callipers, nightmare getting the bolts out, rusty as hell and rounded off so am ordering four new bolts.
Need to disconnect flexible pipe from caliper, will it come off, NO WAY, I thought I would try and separate it from the join where it meets the rigid pipe, will it come off, NO WAY. I now need to order two flexible pipes, brake pipe and unions and a brake flaring tool.
What’s next I am wondering, will the crankshaft pulley bolt snap, will the engine mount disintegrate, maybe the anti roll bar will roll over and die.
Oh well, it’s Sunday so it must be time for a glass of wine (or three), oh *** it I'll empty the bottle.

Ah the fun of making ones own brake pipes, the joy of flaring the ends ........ and finding you have forgotten to put the nuts on first .......
ps may I come and watch you use your spring compressor, from a safe distance of course.

I used to wear flares but I have never made one before I'm sure we could find a suitable shield if you want to watch, many years ago I was replacing a spring when the compressor broke, the spring missed my head by a fraction of an inch, it hit the house wall, bounced off and dissapeared over the houses opposite, I never found it.
