20th May 12 Well it's chucking it down here today, so I was in the GH. Sowed Rutabaga (swede), wallflowers, winter spinach (winter already!) using with gay abandon my newly found vermiculite Would love to know what you've been up to - how about daily basis?

Weeding. (when it wasn't raining) I thought my Jerulaslem artichokes had failed to sprout, but they were just buried by the weeds. Strictly speaking, it's a "no gardening" day, but I didn't asherly touch wanted plants!

After a very heavy rainfall which lasted well into the early hours, the garden is absolutely sodden. Had planned to plant out my tomatoes, runner beans and carrots, but far too wet. Yesterday I spent weeding and planting out my beetroot and radishes.
Tomorrow I'll try and catch up with what I didn't do today ,,, weather permitting!

Saturday whilst it was raining I did some potting on in my cellar cum mud room and the Term planted up the tubs with geraniums in his barn! Yesterday whilst it was gloomy and damp I did some housework.

The pic with Bramble in is my favouritiste They don't make forks like they used to AND they don't seem to have forks here like wot they should either!!!! Bean (in keeping) a weird day today here, started off as norm in the horifice then visitations by 90 yo past residents, a coupla hours in the afy in the garden then the fosse man arrived, then went out delivering heggs. But through all that have trimmed the hawthorn hedge (had to grow one as reminds me of childhood and is good for wildlife) then trimmed the beech hedge (that was stolen as saplings from the New Forest). Hohoed the hunions, asperge and s/berries and had an illegal bonfire. Put more gerans outside. Planted out cuttings from a plant I forget the name of and loadsa other things. What a beautiful May day it has been
