Yes the contract to build 4 new warships has been awarded to South Korea. With 2.7 million unemployed in the UK this clearly makes sense, After all it is much better to support South Korea's economy and pay British workers unemployment benefit
The total insanity of this government knows no bounds.

I agree - it's crazy! Uses the same logic as RBS [In the 4 yrs since it was bailed out with public money, it has yet to make a profit] have made a loss of millions again, are still going to pay out 400 millions in bonuses. This appears to be justified by the statement that this amount is half of what they used to pay out........ Tell me why there are rewards for making a loss - and as the public own the bank, would the money not be put to better use in not being spent at all............the magic word is LOSS people.

Where is the incentive to succeed when you are being rewarded for failure? In the case of RBS there should be no bonuses until the bank turns a profit and then it should be strictly limited to a small percentage of this.
This ridiculous situation is allowed to continue because success is not a word that governments of any party are familiar with. Successive governments of all parties have consistently failed the people of Britain for generations and with no viable alternative to the three mainstream parties made up of self opinionated, incompetent idiots from privileged backgrounds whose only ability is to spout bullshit, avoid responsibility and bent the truth with amazing dexterity. This has caused the public to totally lose faith in any of them which is apparent in the percentage turnout figures over past elections
It was Labour MP John Reid who once famously declared the Home Office "unfit for purpose" Judging by the present boarder checks being carried out, years later it still is. In fact the whole political system is unfit for purpose and until there are drastic changes, the UK will continue to be steered from one disaster to another by the crass incompetence of it's elected politicians.
