Was just down at the hen paddock putting them to bed and there was a birdie in the cherry tree really singing its heart out.
Ran back to the house to grab the vid cam (for sound not pic) ran back to cherry tree and blardy birdie had gone awol.
This is a wonderful month to listen for the feathered friends.... I'll try again tomorrow.
Meanwhile, if anyone has a vid cam and can record the sound of various birdies or a phone that can do same wouldn't it be lovely to hear the chorus on here?
Adore this time of year, is like everything is starting.

I love this time of year too. My son put loadsa my fave music on the iPhone he gave me for my birthday (I've never had an MP3 player or anything like this before), but I only want to use it in the garden when I'm doing something noisy, cos all the rest of the time I'd rather listen to the birds!

I was looking around our garden yesterday .... all the fruit trees have little buds on, some of the roses likewise ...
But it is still so very cold here, that I think it will be a little while yet before I can say that spring is springing so to speak.
The brids are singing though............... We put up several bird boxes in the autumn, so can't wait to see if they are in use.....

I am enjoying it too and noticed the chaffinches had started yesterday. The song thrushes have been at it for a while but went quiet whilst it was very cold but now it's warmer (during the day that is!!!) it's very noisy out there!
