Hi folks. I don't want a man / woman with a van just this second but what I do want to do is to see if anyone knows anyone who can take what is probably a white van full of stuff from Brittany (Scrignac) to Manchester and for how much. I reckon it would cost around £400 to rent a van, petrol, ferry etc if I did it myself to do it on the 48 hour ferry thing but if it wouldn't cost too much more for someone else to do it then I may as well pay someone to do it. What would be fab is if someone was taking a full van to Brittany and coming back to the UK with an empty one. Now that would be profitable for someone. Timing is unimportant as I can bring my stuff over to the UK anytime within the next few months. Anyway, please keep me in mind if you know of anyone that might be able to help. THE CHOPS

I am Philipa. When I first bought the place in France the intention was to move there with my son. Well mum very quickly went on a decline and of course I have to stay in Manchester to care for her until her end in 2010. My son tried living there on his own but was lonely. He has now married and is living in Manchester and I really don't want to live on my own in Brittany. The sensible thing to do now is to sell the place as I am never there. I reduced the price to a ridiculous amount of money and now have loads of interest and quite a few offers so I don't think it will be long before it goes. I have really enjoyed the experience of being in Brittany a few times and meeting you lovely lot at Sal's and all the chit chat on here over the years; and for many years to come I hope. And .... when I have sorted myself out I will come and see you all; if I can wangle an invite from Sal for one of her fab dos

All the best with your house sale CC and I hope you get something sorted with bringing your stuff back from France. We are planning to sell up in France in the next couple of years but in the meantime you are always very welcome to come and stay with us if we are over there. Hope everything goes well.
