You know what.................. sometimes stormy weather can be a godsend tho. Tonight, the fli was Caen Port bound when suddenly he had a wobble on; one of the back tyres had blown. He was on the autoroute A84. All of our vehicles are tip top but he musta picked up a sharp implement en-route! We've had around 2 hrs of franglais communications between various depts this eve and he duly got fixed up and en-route once more. Added advantage was that the 'what a storm' had delayed the Pompy/Caen ferry into Caen so the fli had the luxury of 1/2 an added hour to make it in time. Moral of story? Sometimes negatives can be positives

So pleased for Fli!Agree with you about negatives and positives. We tried to buy a lovely house in England but the wife changed her mind so we felt really let down.If we had have bought it we would never have come to France,so she did us a favour really .

Poor Fli - glad he's OK and the van and there was no accident. Sounds scary!

I'm writing this on the Armorique sailing from Portsmouth to ST Malo. The captain has just warned of a very rough crossing with a South Westerly Gale and a very high swell (in short b....dy rough) I just would like to say its been an honor and b......dy good to know you all and would like to leave all my worldly possessions to my two dogs who might just afford a box of Boneo's. Admin make sure the 3cv is well serviced
