The radiators used to get blocked (externally) on the old Minis, the cure was to blast them with a steam cleaner. The Fiat 850’s used to do the same.

(btw when I said I did change it - yes, I did it myself - minis were brill to work on)
Loved my little mini, inch n alf carb (not the usual inch and 1/4), Weller 8 spokes and all sorts of bits n pieces. Her reg was XNP 488G 1968 slidey winders (MkII tho not a Mk I)

I used to have a Cooper when I wer a lad, loads of fun. Except for the sun roof that leaked in.

Hydro-elastic spension lol - not didn't flippin touch that bit.
But me dad is a brill heningeer and he did all the big stuff. Bought little mini for £125 when she had been written off purely for a damaged wing (she was old already then) she didn't crab too much tho!!
When I bought her she only had 26,000 on the clock from NEW!!!
To her dying day she was half sprayed new and half original in 'Island Blue' (coz I couldn't afford a total new respray.

Bugger it, I have a leak, I can just about see a drip under all the gubins of the engine. If I’m lucky it will just be a lose clip or a hose gone, if not it’s the water pump, and that means the cam belt off and the front of the engine striped down to change it. Just have a look at this!
The pump is only about 40 squid, but what a nightmare of a job to change it, think I’ll buy a Citroen 2cv instead, all you have to do with them is show them you have a hammer and they fix themselves!
Now wares the vodka!!!!

Goner put me camper back on the road tomorrow so I have still got transport, then I am going to have to bite the bullet and strip the car down and then order the parts. It’s going to be weeks of a job

Would love a camper - keep thinking of hiring one for a week to do a tour of Brittany in but they don't half charge.
