According to a recently concluded research, women are programmed to be “gold diggers,” a truth that was highlighted by the fact that women of wealthier men have more orgasms when compared to women of those not so wealthy.
Dr Thomas Pollet, the Newcastle University psychologist behind the research said, “Women’s orgasm frequency increases with the income of their partner.” Pollet also said, “Increasing partner income had a highly positive effect on women’s self-reported frequency of orgasm. More desirable mates cause women to experience more orgasms.”
Times Online reported Pollet as saying that the phenomenon is an “evolutionary adaptation” that is hard-wired into women that drives them to choose men based on their perceived quality. The idea behind this study is that the female orgasm is an evolutionary adaptation driving women to select and retain high quality partners.
The experts made use of data gathered in one of the biggest lifestyle studies in the world to test the belief. The Chinese Health and Family Life Survey targeted 5,000 people across China for in-depth interviews about their personal lives and the questions revolved around their sex lives, income, and other factors. It was found from the analysis that 121 of these women always had orgasms during sex; while 408 more had them “often.” Money was one of the main reasons involved in the “satisfying” rich men-women relationships.
The research has once again proved the long-believed truth that money is bigger than love, at least for some women.
