Gave my hubby a Kindle for Christmas he loves reading about the landing beaches but he still doesn't use it. I enjoy scribbling and drawing so this might be on my birthday wish list.

BartyB, try Aldi. Had something similar a year ago, passed to daughter. Saw an a5 note taker, and a A4 digital / paper on sale; woks with normal pen and paper pad plus digitises it. A5 was £19.95 didn't check the a4 price. Seen them in Aldi before, so must be common.
ps still not got an iPad, can't see a use for it. My Air is fantastic just waiting now for the new Lion operating system. New MacBook Pro out but Lady S will not let me buy one, even though I said she can have my 2010 version. Oh and the kindle is good too.

Don't like Kindle, like books and I'll pay a kilo a week in excess bagage to take books with me.
i quite like the format of iPad, though I'll happily agree that it's a glorified iPhone.
the proof of the pud for NoteSlate will be what the interfaces and charecter recognision are like
