Salon at Plelan-le-Petit, Sat/Sun 10th & 11th April, open each day 10h00 until 19h00
It's in the new salle des fêtes, "L'Embarcadère", and very easy to find.
Taking N 176 coming from east or west, exit the dual carriageway at Plelan, and at the roundabout go all the way round to the exit marked "l'embarcadère". Follow the road round and you'll see the parking area and the salle des fetes.
This salon has grown over the past four years, thank goodness Plelan-le-Petit has built a salle big enough to house it!
I went for the first time last year, and spent more than double the sum I'd intended, but didn't regret it one little bit!
There are producteur/recoltant wines from all over France, from Alsace down to the deep southwest (free tasting, of course) as well as Cognac and Pineau des Charentes.
There will also be jams, honey (nothing like the shop-bought stuff, I'll be doubling up this year!), chutneys, confiture d'oignons, hams, breton charcuterie, charcuterie from le Nord, olives and tapenade from down south, cheese, and the folk from near Agen with their pruneaux and derived products will be back this year. (Just as well - I'm right out of their amazing vinaigre de pruneaux, best I've found for sweet and sour dishes, or little treats like my magret de canard aux griottes acidulés)
The Confrèrie de la Coquille St Jacques des Cotes d'Armor will be there, and there will be a coffee & crêpes stand (though why anyone would need it with what's on offer...)
From the info I've been given, it's going to be bigger & better than last year, (my first time,) and I thought last year very good.
Well worth a detour!
