In June, I got a fully sireted plasterer out to do the lounge ceiling.
He did a good job, but it cracked in a couple of places, nothing major, and I just skimmed a bit of filler over them, and then painted it. The other night I noticed a new crack ( a big 'un like bottom's crack ;D ) and while I was in bed I heard a crashing noise.
I rang the bloke Thursday, and he promised me he'd come today ( Sat )..... yeah you get it, he never rang or turned up. I've rung him tonight, and his wife said he'd ring when he got in........ yeah, you got it, he never rang.
Why don't people care anymore?

Yikes! What's the surface underneath though - that looks like smooth plaster? I think French white plaster is rubbish and you can scrape it off with your fingernails plus in this house they didn't ever make it smooth and I can't be bothered to do it myself!

It's Sunday, but in our experience you need to phone them about 5 times and then what they'll do is turn up on your doorstep without warning one day, about 3 months later.
