Totally agree Blu. Horrid stuff, Made worse by artists telling us it is educational.

Totally disagree. I went to "BodyWorks" (the first exhibition) and it's fantastic. Educational? not especially but I don't see the difference between making sculpture from bodies to making sculture from scrap iron.

Well I guess if you know what you are going into then it is personal choice. The exhibits don't appear to be particularly bothered.

I had the chance to go to see the Bodyworks expo in London a few years ago but chickened out. A group of friends did go and they said it was fascinating and, in hindsight, I wish I had gone along with them.
I thought it was exploitative and basically, no better than a Victorian freak show. There was also some hoo-ha about where the bodies came from at the time although IIRC - von Hagens was adamant that he had obtained consent from "most" of the exhibits before their deaths.
