Some time ago somebody mentioned a charity collecting old PCs and related hardware. These will then be rrepaired and given to worthy causes. We have a Siemens Fuijitzu (spelling ) running Wondows 97, complete with monitor, keyboard and printer. The snag ?? I can't for the life of me remember where I saw this. Can you help ? PS May not have been on this site !!! Take care and thanks

Was something on a French news programme in about nov/Dec last year. I'll ask around. (I think there's a charity that collects CPUs from dechetteries, etc, to cannibalize and create working puters for school-kids etc who wouldn't otherwise have one)

I raid the tidy tip in order to keep our aging fleet of apartment PC's going.
Its green and low cost and as most of our customers only want to surf the internet the spec of these machines can be pretty low.
When they get to slow for the internet (remember when you didnt need a fast PC to surf?) I just give them way to the next person that asks for one and replace it with another (faster) recycled machine.
We have 7 PC's to keep running for the punters so its a good job it is also my hobby. ;D
