Aaaaarrgh I have a codec missing

Every time I try to play a digital video I get this blardy message:

Codec is missing

I have tried to download all kinds of Codecs but I still can't get the darn thing to work. Any ideas? Please?

Still didn't work Lif but thanks anyway. I can go to Windows photo gallery and it works there I have found.

Bizarre that it will only work through photo gallery bit of my computer. At least I can do it now. This is the latest one: BEWARE - swearing in it.
