Who the hell wished for rain We have returned to 12" high grass, one of my new fence panels wrecked by a tree, waterbut lids blown away, newly planted veg just a soggy mess, two panes of greenhouse glass shattered etc etc etc. Next time I see those water carrying pidgeons I will be reaching for my crossbow.

I'm wishing for it again! A dry week and it's all gone!
(I don't count 1mm drizzles as that doesn't sink into the ground).

Sorry Pandj the Gps got stuck and they just kept going round in circles - all I can do is apologise but Ali wanted some more when she came on Friday so had to let them out again but they promised only light showers.
Sorry MM I will ask them to sort you out with a major delivery soon!!

What a pain!! we came over once to find the garden had turned into a field, the grass was so tall it was truly shocking, took us 3 days to sort out,we got someone to cut it after that.

I have a quote from a nice man in the village, he says he will cut my grass etc for a special price.
Should I send the bill for €750 to Ali or Bunty ?

But why are you surprised? Normally grass grows a lot between March and May. This year it's hardly grown at all and our garden has only had one main cut so far. Between lack of rain until April and then cold weather it's just not really growing like it should, although it is nice to see it looking lush and green for a change. Normally during April/May it would need mowing once every week then very little after that during the summer months.
