Goodo - I repotted the parsley too.
The only Jardiland I know is at Cap Malo but I'm sure you can google and find out your nearest one.
Glad you got that evil mouse - what a rotter it was! We caught a mulot in a live trap this morning - have 3 traps out now on the veg patch - anyway it is no more. ;D
I'm gonna put my little leggy toms out this afternoon but they'll probably get sunstroke.
And finally there are some seedlings coming up in the veg patch after a month!

I know I've been to a couple, I think the closest is prob the one in Fougeres. If I remember correctly its just off the 'ring roady thingy' near Leclerc and But, just ahead of fouyfouy. Not far from Gardens de Haute Bretagne road.

Ah yeah I vaguely remember there being a garden centre there!
I've started putting my little toms out into the coldframes now during the day - hopefully they will start to grow more leaves rather than just growing upwards thru lack of light!

Hi from Wet Wales !! Visiting family here. Ali, Planted my tom seeds in toilet rolls and kept them in plastic container,eg litttle containers that have had toms, strawberry in watered well, the rools absorb water-(used cheap compost). Stuart planted the peas, beans, etc outside a couple of weeks ago as they were so sturdy-all seems well even tho weather not been to clever Found all have an amazing strong root system coming thro the roll, and so easy to plant then in roll straight into ground. Done same with peas ,beans and going to use same thing now for all my seeds-provided I can get enough loo rolls ,and paper towel rolls. All my friends now save the rolls for me !!!

I have found by time roots established, it all holds together anyway. When we were moving from rented place a friend helped me clean the house, and she found all of my hoarded loo rolls and she threw them out-thought I was crazy ???now she saves hers for me !!

My tomatoes are going yellow so I will have to feed them, even thought they don't need to be potted on yet. Something must be missing in this Mag Vert terreau horticole which tomatoes need. They are still leggy and pathetic and hardly growing even though they've been out in the cold frames in warm to hot temps the last 3 days.

Hi MM The nitrogen gets washed out eventually when watering, so give half feed strength at this stage They are still leggy and pathetic and hardly growing even though they've been out in the cold frames in warm to hot temps the last 3 days. Light is the most important factor at this stage, plants should be spaced out when the leaves touch or they are competing for the light. If you can manage to pot them on it will really help

Thanks Sooty. I did feed them with green houseplant fertiliser which will be nitrogen rich and they are getting lots of light as they've been outside for 3 or 4 days now. I'll pot them on next week and bury the leggy stems again then hopefully they'll start getting a move on! I was just surprised that they were turning yellow so quickly as they are not appearing to be growing at all. In the meantime I have bought some larger plants (mix of diff varieties of med to large toms) from the garden centre and I'm really, really pleased that this year they had Sungold (cherry tom) plants being sold individually, so I've got one! Next year I'll buy some seed.
