Elkay they are bloomin marvelous - flowering away like goodens and their only very small still - GREAT Next year will be planted in their permanent places in the Garden and then I'll watch shoot up Thanks a lot Elkay

It's strange, cos they usualy recomend taking cuttings in spring, but I find with these particular ones I am more succesful with autumn cuttings.

Yesterday I promised some to Kattie - and I said 'I just hope we don't get a sharp frost tonight'. Ooops, so we had a very heavy frost - but so far so good, the fuschias haven't dropped their leaves or flowers yet, so I will have a go. While there is sap in a branch I can take a cutting. If not, the fuschia cuttings service will resume in the spring

No idea, Rinky Dink, I just inherited the original plant in 1989 when I bought my last house in the UK! All the ones I have now here near Roudouallec (and their babies as far apart as at Bunty's house somewhere in Brittany and in Yorkshire and on the Isle of Wight) are from the original near Basingstoke.
