I'd leave off with the McDo's if I were you Joking aside, tho - make sure you have separate serving spoons for the vegan stuff, cos we were at a do once where a vegan got upset and wouldn't eat cos the staff used the same serving spoons for everything

Don't vegan's eat bats and things from big pots over a log fire and things, then dance around howling like wolf's round a dead carcase and pray to full moons and have their evil way with young virgins on a slab of cold granite. Or is my imagination running away with me

That's pagans you daft burger! And Elfy I thought that bars of choklit had butter in, even if they are dark choklit and don't have milk in. Well personally I don't really care what's in them so long as there is choclit and sugar. ;D
Does take some thinking to think of what is vegan or not though!!

OK, well, as BartyB said, any veg (raw is as good as deep fried) and dips - you have to make sure there is NO dairy (milk, eggs, cheese etc) If you can get some plain soya yoghourt (sold in most supermarkets, called SOJA) you can replace cream in some dips/dishes and you can get Tofu in health food shops and some bigger supermarkets. A lot of my recipes use vegan cheese, which as it is impossible to find vegetarian cheese here, I doubt you can get that. If you can find Tofu (plain or smoked) you could make little kebabs (cut it into squares and alternate with mushrooms, peppers etc on kebab sticks). The other thing you could do (depending on the type of occasion) is make a nice soup and serve it in little coffee cups, so it's "nibbley" size; use tofu or soya cream/milk to replace cream for those types of soups; a bruschetta topped with roasted veg tossed in lemon juice, fresh basil and s&p, cut into bite-sized pieces; little nut rissoles - onion, breadcrumbs, soya sauce, tomato puree, grated apple, hazelnuts (ground) herbs s&p, mix well, shape into little squashed balls, roll in flour and fry in shallow hot oil for about 3-4 mins each side. Just a few ideas, hope they're helpful xx
