I need some and have come to the same conclusion, seems very expensive here, as with most things.

I never use plastic, always use woven. Cheap at B&Q. Depends what you want to use it for........ ?? Suitable for what?

He doesn't say anywhere on his site what thickness the plastic is. For all we know,it could be 5 microns thick and of no use at all. I didn't see how much shipping was,but if it's more than sick squid,it's cheaper to get it Point P or Point V/Agrial. Just been looking on ebay.fr for "film" and "isolant" and there's loads around that price for 2mx50m and 150microns thick.
If you also look at machinemart and screwfix for damp-proofing sheets, they might be even cheaper.......... Donk

From the auction page
"This plastic sheeting industrial grade and is cut from a commercial roll as seen in the picture. It is about .09mm thick (it doesn't mean much to me either) but decorators plastic dust sheets are advertised as 'heavy duty' and are .015mm thick, so this polythene sheet is about 6 times thicker, therefore the postage costs are higher because of the heavier weight."

150 microns is 0.15mm. So the stuff advertised on ebay is 900 microns. Is that OK for the garden then?
I was going to hoik the contents of my composter and dung heap on to the trapezoid bung bp on top and let it over winter.

I'd love to but I can't commit to that sort of relationship right now

Why would you want to put plastic over though? Why not just bung compost/whatever on and just leave it?
