In the spirit of Pandj's extremly droll observations concerning the cash machine i just thought it might be interesting to mention a couple of points.
1. I am a fantastic driver .....(and I can parallel park on a sixpence) 2. my husband is rubbish - prefering to look at the scenery (whilst driving)
3. My daughter is a fantastic driver. 4. Her partner is nervy and useless in traffic.
5. My daughter in law is totally comptent behind the wheel 6. My son only THINKS he is!!!
7. My mother was brilliant 8. How my father ever got on the road is beyond anyones guess - (probably the worst driver ever)
9. My sister in law ( who I hate so it pains me to admit it) is a fantastic driver 10. My brother likes to drive fast and chat with the passengers in the back - of course it would be rude not to make eye contact with them - he is almost certainy, singlehandedly responsible for everyones exorbitant insurance premiums.
For me - a nervy passenger - the acid test is whether i could fall asleep on a journey - say yes to the girls and an emphatic no to the men.

The only thing I would add to this contreversial subject is that in my experience of driving with friends and family ,whilst observing the antics of other drivers in a long career behind the wheel, In my humble opinion, male drivers cover the full spectrum from frigteningly bad to exceptionally good and everything inbetween whilst I have mostly experienced female drivers who seem to fall into two catorgories. They are either superb and fill me with confidence or they frighten me ****less.
