I cut down a while back on cupboard loads of kitchen toys which I never used. Like most I find that once the novelty has worn off you realise that by the time you have found and dusted said gadget off, used it, cleaned it and put it back, it is easier to use a whisk and bowl. I still have a breadmaker, a mixer(I do use that sometimes) a sandwich toaster, an egg boiler???, a mincer and a coffee machine. That is of course not to mention the usual microwave, small oven, toaster etc.

This is a sore subject, in the last 2 months, I've killed .... 1 sml kenwood food processor (smell of burning from motor) 1 Kenwood chef food processor (flames from motor - OK, it was 20 years old though!) I george Foreman grill and to top it all ....... I bought a lovely new blender in January from Boulanger. Used it for the second time last week and it has died - a small piece of plastic has snapped off and without it, it doesn't work! Guess who didn't keep the receipt? I think I'm jinxed!

Refrained from joining in here until we refilled the new kitchen. We threw little away when I took out the old kitchen So nearly everything and gadgets have been put back in the new kitchen. As there now mainly drawers instead of cupboards there is nothing hiding or inaccessible. All gadgets, big and small can be easily got at. The pact between us is, not used properly in the next six months ........ It goes.
