The Ryanair flight to Dinard has gone to Nantes, but there are no buses today due to the weather, to take our friends back to Dinard to their car. Looks like a night in hotel in Nantes, then sort out the car over the weekend. Just hope the bags of Tommy Hilfiger and Timberland shopping make up for the tedious journey!!

Had to drive down to Loire Valley yesterday, normally takes 3 hours, took me 6 hours as had to detour via Angers instead of taking m/way to Le mans. Road very slippery as it started to thaw and then froze again, temperatures have stayed at -3C but it is raining and freezing as it lands - very nasty. The slowness of the journey was not helped by (mainly) women driving at 10kph, obviously petrified - why do they go out when the roads are like that, they are a bloody menace when all is good!
