I feel, somehow,a lesser being!! Am I wrong to protect ¨ The Chick¨? The yearned for car, hang on that probably make me even lesser, to yearn for a metal box, should I expose her to the ¨in yer face¨ French supermarket car parks? It is a a pain in the bum , to park a mile from the shop, BUT, to walk out of the shop and spot The Chick, sitting there like an egg yolk,is reward enough!!

My dearest BC, the problem lies in your choice of car, and its colour...
It's just too cutesy. It inspires envy in the French, with their beat-up 205's...
It's also not threatening enough. Other people feel that their car will be safe next to yours, however much space there may be elsewhere in the carpark. White Transit vans have the opposite effect. They have a reputation for kicking neighbouring cars out of boredom, while they wait for their owners to return...
And everyone knows that the only colour for a car is black. Fear is what black inspires in others. Behind the wheel of every black car is a gangsta. People don't mess with other people's black cars...

I HAVE noticed a look of pity on the faces of other drivers directed at Mr BC on the odd occasion that he drives The Chick, I have been told the French equate the size of car to the size of a certain body part,I wonder could that be the cause of the pitying looks?
