Tried on a 2000 Picasso 1.8 petrol, even less data
I need to find somebody with a Android tablet or phone.
I guess it is possible I have two OBDII faulty adaptors.

Too far away for you to practice on my motors, sorry.
Had a lovely contract a few years ago setting up the Panasonic Tough Books when Ford went over to full diagnostics. Installing in garages and training techs. Then again when they went WiFi. Aim was one lappy per mechanic and log in for every customer visit Great when need for quick diagnosis and software update, could do it from car park.
Remember a data logger is essential to sort out the intermittent problems 'cos you can leave it plugged in for a week or so then read out any problems from you lappy or code reader.
ps The great benefit now is to plug in and have the Ford Field Techs in the 'factory' join in with the repair and diagnosis. Some manufacturers have or are testing systems that tell the dealer / factory about problems in real time 3G networks so customer can be contacted to tell them about any potential malfunctions.
Good bit of kit pandj.

Sorry PandJ no expert on K series engine. Have you a 'laser' infra red thermometer to check out spot temperatures, useful for tracking coolant problems. Temp sender can be checked by your standard test meter. Wish i could help further.

I know the temp sender is OK, the car had it's own diagnostic display and that is fine. The problem I have is with the OBDII sender and the Torque software. I need another car and android device to prove which item is at fault, could be ODBII adaptor, software, tablet or my ECU. I'm getting realy annoyed with it now, I just tried again and it worked, then it stopped again
