Seriously, it looks like pole dancing will be included as gymnastic discipline in the 2016 Olympics. It's to be called the vertical pole or something. Our daughter teaches it as part of her fitness training lessons and it's very popular with ladies for strengthening their tummy muscles. You have to be very fit. The other pole dancing is of the burlesque sort - no doubt you were thinking along those lines, Steve??!!

I think Steve is thinking about what entranced my Alan in Amsterdam.......they had fluffy boots on.......but I must say it WAS very energetic!

Is it that thing I saw briefly on telly yesterday; think it was on Coast about the Netherlands. It's the pole thingy that they used to use to cross canals I think. You have to run to the pole, climb up it really fast, then your weight at the top swings you over to the other side of the water, where you jump off. Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
