Har har to soup and ticks Stage I - caught her tick Stage II - she's in the pet carrier in the bathroom tick Stage II - put her in a bowl of water without her escaping.....tick Cooor my back aches now, was sat on the loo with her in a bowl at my feet so I could keep hold. Poorly leg was quite warm and swollen so I've also sprayed some anti-septic on it, let that dry and then did the vaseline job - hope that was the right thing to do. Gave her a good ole lice/mite powder whilst I'd got hold of her and also cleaned out their bedding (which is only a week old anyway), gave it a good spray, new straw back and lice powder........... She is looking a bit perkier, but that might be coz she realises she's not dead and NOT soup !

Fingers crossed for her Ali! Sitting on the loo, whatever next. Guess tho if you are doing it alone it is probably just as good a place as any .... I tend to use a chair in the barn for all the henny feet washing and picking out jobs. (The jumper is still sitting there waiting to be chopped up..... it keeps giving me sad looks..... I will do it, I WILL.... honest ;D

Forgot to update the post! Well Maverick has made a full recovery, thank you all and special thanks to Kergotu because Kerg making me sit on the loo with hen in a bowl worked She's laying again, looks very happy. I gave her a good dosing of everything - weird tho because she was the only one with any lice/mites. The leg is far better, going back to normal gradually. TQ everyone
