Mice 90 / Ali 10
Can't have a cat coz brown dog would eat it.
These blinkin' meeeeeces have eaten my prized pumpkins in the 'cave', many of the walnuts, the tatties and the tongs out of flis golf shoes and not only that we now have rat holes in the hen pen.
I have gone against my own rules and have placed rat poison in the garage (backs onto hen pen) and in the 'cave' and quite a lot has been eaten.
I've also covered over/filled in the rat runs in the hen pen with soil now to see if the latest poisoning is taking effect - theory is re-dug rat holes = didnt work.
Don't get me wrong, I adore the little blighters, in small numbers.

Ahhhh it's garage/house type mice, not mulots! Wasn't sure. It's amazing how house mice can climb up sheer shiny metal shelving units - they munched some of our spuds and apples last year. My walnuts are kept indoors under the stairs but when I had some drying up in the office last year there was a trail across the floor where some poor mouse had rolled several walnuts towards the door to the walk in attic space above the kitchen, then .... DONK.... poor mouse realised that walnuts are too big to roll under door space. Had hysterics over that (and moved walnuts pretty damn quick!). We have mouse poison in the attic spaces, but you do have to remember to replace it occasionally!

I would be terrified to use poison, just in case the dogs found a dead poisoned mouse and ate it!
