Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, look out for lovely crud on top tomorrow and give it a good stir each day. Then +5 days and you'll be ready to strain into demi-john, fit bubbly wriggly thingy and after about 1/2 hour (temp dependent) u should see bubbles Every bubble is an alcohol Put demi on a tray tho coz it will puke for at least 2 nights. Ark at me, started this in, was it May? 2011 and now am sounding like expert just coz have so far produced some great brews

I have 2 buckits of blackberry on the go now, one will be ready to puke on Friday and the other on Saturday. I think this time I'm going to cover the wrigglies and DJs with a sheet of cling film coz last time I must admit it did puke up the kitchen wall ......... which is white (or rather was white, now it's white with purple splats ) Still not sure about the plums. They don't look ripe nuff yet here......

Since last post have also made another gallon of parsley. Think have about 4 galls of that now - and at least one more to go! On racking off it did taste good - is why have made more and will make more. Planted a 2m x 3m patch of parsely for the job. Anyone in need of parsley? The 2 blackberry are now in demi-johns and are both starting to 'work' however they have taken longer to 'bubble' than any other country wine I've made yet! They are both on trays but am dreading seeing the kitchen in the morning! My dad has juiced his blackcurrants for me for collection in Oct (fingers crossed I can make it over to UK then) Thanks dad There is nothing more soothing than hearing the plink plonk blurp of the bubbles up the wriggly thing. Might take a sound recording and bore you all to death with that one day............... One thing I have learned from starting this home-made wine thing is to leave it in demi for as long as poss and RACK OFF at least twice. Some of my concoctions from the start of this thread have continued to 'work' after bottling. I bottled too soon. That said the Rhubarb was a delight - lightly fizzy. Some of our neighbours are now demanding for a taste night - ooops. Such fun. Sprinkling of patience required.

Got the second lot of plum in DJ,it´s quite musical in the utility room, with the 3 plink plonks going at different times. Got some blackberries left so will go for blackberry and apple next followed by rice and raisin.
