I had a new camera for Xmas and wanted something more knowledgeable than me so that I could learn more about photography. Mine has a great 'intelligent automatic' mode but you can switch to Programme or Manual or other things that I haven't quite figured out like Food and Pets (which seem to be no different from using the automatic mode) so you see I am still learning lots!! It does panoramic shots and takes movies too but yet to figure that out properly. It also has an Easy mode but that seems pointless to me as it is TOO simple - if you wanted something like that why buy a more complicated camera. It's a Sony Cybershot DSC-H55.

Thanks for your help. Hubby says this one because its light and small its a Sigmatek - SDC-340W its also cheap compared to others that might be the reason why <) I like the Sony one it has 14Mpix compared to 5Mpix of the Sigmatek but its expensive for how much I might use it. The Coolpix is still my favourite, its only 89 euros and has 12.0 mégapixel, I shall wait until Monday and go shopping.
