Hello to all I have not cyber-met before and nice to see again all those I have. MC is for MotorCaravanner which is how we spend our time in France and other places. Originally from the area, west of Glasgow but now living in the Borders for the short times we are back home each year. I have been many things in my life including draughtsman, petrol station manager, telephone engineer, campsite owner and part-time writer/researcher for the camping/caravanning and motorcaravanning industry. I still do a little bit of the latter but it decreases with each passing year and will finish totally in June this year. We have travelled a lot around Eorope in the past, sticking mainly to France, Spain and Portugal now with the odd trip around the UK thrown in. We have also travelled and camped in the USA & Canada many times and are planning a two month trip to New Zealand next year, again touring mainly in a hired campervan. We have no family and no pets and have been married for 39 years this year. We drive a French made Rapido Motorcaravan and tow a little Peugeot 107 behind it on those winter trips to Spain and Portugal where we tend to set up for a couple of months at a time and other transport is essential. We also visit some friends who have a 'maison secondaire' in 61, Orne where we can leave the camper to fly home now and again and we know that area quite well and are not long back from that spot where we were helping with the ongoing work to the house. We have holidayed in Brittany since 1991 and we have nearly always gone to the Rhuys penninsula and the towns of Sarzeau or Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys. I will be sixty this year, in June and MOH, well, a bit less than that!
Really glad to see the spirit living on here and probably consumed, in moderation of course, as well.
Moss(short for the real one that I detest, I really prefer MC, my actual initials)
